I did. Once I realized there was no reasoning with him, it was a matter of taking it to the people who could speak his language.

Kids can be resourceful, but they should still get to be kids.

Good call. Not sure it will work in the long run, but it's certainly less of a headache.

Agreed. Maybe they could be support, but sending them on field missions? Too risky. Too many things can go wrong.

I did receive a written apology that illustrates your point; I believe we'll always have a problem with him. Best we can do is ignore, not engage, and hope whoever gets straddled with him is hard-headed enough to push back.

I've found Legion to be a bit of a mixed bag. There doesn't seem to be a lot of control over who is brought in, outside of this mysterious 'Time Turner' person, and yet I found them quick to reprimand when things get out of hand. We will have to see.

You're not the only one. They're definitely the good guys - that much I believe. But I think they're desperate. Chronoblivion has them scared enough that they're going to take whatever they can get, because the alternative is just handing everything over.

I'm not saying that they're compromising, because they're still doing every little thing that they can to keep things right. But they're making some tough calls.

It included the phrase 'I would very much appreciate it if you fixed your attitude'.

Bad things happen when people get desperate. They're going to need stabilizing forces on the inside if they don't want to implode from their own tough calls.

I honestly can't tell whether he's delusional or just a smartass.

In the Legion's case, I think those stabilizing forces are most of the core members and the fact that almost everyone here has been able to wrap their heads around what's at risk.

[Still, that's surprisingly insightful from a Park Manager. No offense, of course, but she's talking about a very particular type of tough calls with an experience he wouldn't have expected.]

I've encountered people like him all throughout my career; I'm going to go with 'delusional'. Smartass there's an underlying sense of 'I know I'm wrong but I don't care' but from this Dredd fellow I got the sense that he genuinely felt in the right, which is far more dangerous.

It's a lot to swallow, but even if it's a bad dream; better to go with strength and make the most of it then suffer through it waiting to wake up.

That's the read I got too. Though I think that maybe there's some part of him deep down that doesn't by into this either.

Maybe if we keep digging we'll find it, but that does mean having to interact with him. I think I'll leave that to someone else.

Much better. Far from ideal, you're still dead, but at least you've got your dignity.

Aren't you a military type? Haven't you been there, before? Those moments you can't see a way out but you do everything you can on the frail hope it's enough. That's the kind of dignity I was talking about.

I've been there more than once. Someone's been there to pull my ass out of the fire, but I've been there.

Don't get me wrong, if you're in that situation, doing the best that you can is all you can ask for. I just like to think a happy ending is at least possible. Maybe not likely, but possible.

[Pull his ass out of the fire. She thinks of Owen, how the only way they both got out - got her nephews out - was through mutual effort to save each other. He may have been better trained in such matters, but she ultimately felt she didn't do too shabby in the end.]

[But Garrus has revealed that; yes, a good deal of her was pessimistic.] I guess a career of preparing for the worst case scenario hasn't helped me in the optimism department.

[Especially when the worst case scenario that actually happened was worse than the one you'd planned for.]

I don't know that I'd call my outlook optimistic. I've just worked with good enough people that I've seen the impossible happen enough times that I can't rule it out anymore.
